The E3 Center

Education. Empowerment. Employment.

The Olney/Logan E3 Center offers individuals between the ages of 16 and 21 the opportunity to make a successful transition into adulthood. The E3 Center is committed to helping young people become self-motivated, self-supporting and positively engaged in their communities. The Center’s focus is to work with youths who have left high school but who have not earned a diploma or GED, as well as with court-involved individuals who are returning from delinquent placement facilities.

The Center’s facility features many classrooms, a computer lab, a conference room, and areas that are perfect for interactive learning sessions where a professional team of teachers and social workers offer participants the following three essential tools for success:

Education for basic reading, writing, science, social studies, and mathematics in preparation for the GED exam. Each individual will be offered a variety of ways to learn including personalized instruction, literacy and special education courses, mentorship, assistance with career mobility, and the college application process.

Empowerment to set and reach individual goals by providing instruction in decision making, problem solving, information gathering, and developing skills for greater self awareness and self-esteem building.

Employment and assistance for job readiness and placement through a variety of services including summer internships, occupational skills training, resume writing and interview skills training, as well as education in workplace etiquette.

Location: 5201 Old York Road, Suite B, Philadelphia, Pa. 19141

All E3 Centers are overseen by the Philadelphia Youth Network in support of the goals of the Philadelphia Council for College and Career Success, WorkReady Philadelphia, and Project U-Turn.
